Meroe, Medway or Baidu in the Meroitic language and Ancient Greek languages (Εερόη) are all names of Meroe, an ancient city in northern Sudan located on the eastern bank of the Nile, about 6 km north-east of the Kabushiya station near From the city of Shendi, and about 200 kilometers from Khartoum.
